8 Ways to Build Links to Your Blog

This is a non-gaming related article. Todays reviews are featured below this article.

8 Ways to Build Links to Your Blog

  1. Write At Least One Post Per Day:

To achieve maximum blog exposure, you should post anywhere from one to several times a day. This will ensure your site always has fresh content, and will keep visitors coming back for more. Multiple daily posting also increases the probability that you’ll be linked to by other sites.

If you’re too busy too post once a day, instead of making full-fledged articles, write short and pithy posts. If, right now, you can only write two articles per week, on the days you don’t post these articles, publish shorter posts that still provide valuable content. I suggest writing short step-by-step posts, quotations from other bloggers in your field, a “site-of-the-week” post (this can also be used for link trading; see suggestion #8), and summarizing news articles and other bloggers work.

  1. Let Others Use Your Work:

Create several compelling articles each with a link back to your blog. Invite other bloggers to republish these articles on their own blogs, and you’ll gain multiple high Google PageRank links.

  1. Submit, Submit, Submit:

Submitting to syndicates and blogmarking communities (such as Technorati, Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, and Webetur) can dramatically increase your traffic and backlinks.

  1. Time Your Posting:

Post long articles on the weekend (so that people have more time to read them), and post short articles on weekdays (so that people have enough time to read them during lunchtime at work, during school, etc.) This will increase the probability that readers will vote for you one blogmarking sites (see suggestion #3).

  1. Advertise Everywhere:

You can earn loads of backlinks and visitors by placing your link in just about
every place conceivable. Advertise in the forums you post in, in your email signature, in chat rooms, during Instant Messaging conversations, at school/work, and anywhere else you can think of.

  1. Guest Blog:

Find blogs that need more fresh content and offer to guest blog for them, under the condition that they link to your blog. This can be a great method for building links, traffic, and Google PageRank.

  1. Group Blog:

Join or start a group blogging project, and place a link in your posts (on the group blog) linking to your own blog. Group blogging is an excellent method to hone your writing skills and gain a wider audience.

  1. Trade Links:

Even though this method has received bad press because it doesn’t increase your PageRank very much, it can still give you loads of visitors and increase your ranking on certain search engines, such as Technorati.

Conclusion

Linkbuilding is a great skill to know and is one of the most essential parts of Search Engine Optimization.
